North End Providence
Begun in October 2008, this site is launched as a showcase for the rental properties I personally manage. In execution, this site will become the premier location for anything relating to the North End of Providence, Rhode Island.
The North End is part of District 7, and is Ward 4 in Providence.
The North End of Providence is not North Providence. North Providence is its own city, elsewhere and inferior.
I need to praise the new city management ushered in by new Mayor Angel Tavares. 2011 is the first year that tax bills arrived in a manner timely enough that they can be paid quarterly rather than bimonthly. This is the first time that has happened in nine years...since the corrupt queen David Cicillini was first elected mayor!
With that bit of vitriol, I will draw attention to a fiction anthology titled WTF?! It features a short story by North End Providence writer Jeff Kozzi. "The Rats of the Renaissance City" is a smart and pointed satire of the Cicillini administration and worth the admission price of the book, which is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
